Job Description
Job Title: Early Learning Specialist (PreK–2 Tutor + Program Support)
Location: Bridge Learning Center – Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Hours: Up to 16 hours/week | Morning Shift: 8:45 AM – 12:00 PM (Monday–Thursday)
Pay: $18–$20/hour, depending on experience
Start Date: August 2025
Position Overview:
Bridge Learning Center is looking for a warm, reliable, and growth-minded Early Learning Specialist to join our team! This role blends instructional support with front-desk hospitality and center operations. You’ll work directly with students from PreK to Grade 2, focusing on early literacy (letter recognition, letter sounds, phonics) and foundational math skills (counting, addition/subtraction, and early multiplication).
We’ll provide the curriculum and coach you in lesson planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a future educator to build teaching skills in a supportive and professional setting. You’ll also play a key role in welcoming families, keeping the space organized, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support instruction in early literacy and math with individuals and small groups
- Use tools like ChatGPT and AI platforms to assist with lesson prep and student engagement
- Greet families and provide friendly front desk support
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the learning space
- Assist with simple administrative and facility tasks
- Participate in coaching and feedback sessions with the Education Director
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children (tutoring, camp counselor, afterschool programs, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and a welcoming demeanor
- Interest in early childhood education and literacy/math instruction
- Comfortable using AI tools like ChatGPT and Google Workspace
- Punctual, dependable, and eager to learn
- High school diploma or equivalent required; current college students welcome
- Must pass a Live Scan fingerprint background check prior to working with children
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience with PreK–2nd grade students
- Interest in Montessori or structured literacy approaches
