As a ministry of First Baptist Church of Naples, the staff of First Baptist Academy must meet the standards of employment that are required by the church whereby each employee must feel a "call" into this ministry work. In addition, as educators, we hire the most qualified and certified teachers who profess Christ as Savior and who are able to meet the standards of Good Character set forth by this ministry.

REPORTS TO: Director of Athletic Ministries

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Athletic Facilities Manager will provide oversight of all Athletic operations related to athletic events, athletic social platforms, and general facility upkeep.

QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The employee is a Christian with an authentic and a mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both his or her professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian education. Must have good communication skills and be a Christian model to student athletes of FBA.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science degree or related field experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Athletic Events

  • Ensure athletic facilities are open, operating, and set for all practices and contests.
  • Ensure all athletic equipment (uniforms, specific sporting equipment) is functioning properly and ordered before each season.
  • Serve as the primary contact and liaison for visiting teams.
  • Resolve facility issues/conflicts in accordance with facility usage policy.
  • Provide oversight for all aspects of an athletic event: Player and fan safety, AVL (audio and visual), Concessions, Referee Correspondence, and Security.
  • Liaison for emergency situations between school and public servants.
  • Coordinate all parent volunteers providing communication, training and guidance for all athletic events.
  • Acts as the primary Administrator on Duty for Athletic Events.
  • Coordinates and schedules Administrators on Duty.
  • Acts as Administrator on Duty for Athletics Program when Director of Athletics or Athletic Coordinator is traveling.
  • Travels to away competitions only in the event that the Director of Athletics or Athletic Coordinator cannot travel.

Athletic Social Media

  • Under the purview of the First Naples Communications, create and post information about Athletic outcomes, events, and student achievements.
  • Coordinate graphics with the school graphic designer to relay excellence in all postings on social media platforms.
  • Act as the liaison between local news and media outlets to ensure proper credentials are obtained and maintained to be on the field of play.

Athletic Facilities:

  • Attend weekly FNC Facilities meetings, organizing and checking on facility requests.
  • Accomplish assigned tasks for facility upkeep:
    • Ensure fields of play are organized and safe to the fans, coaches, and players. This includes making sure that bleachers and restrooms are in working order.
    • Maintain cleanliness of all facilities by doing a facility wide walk through every other week.
    • Maintain all locker rooms for cleanliness and presentation.
    • Provide oversight and assist coaches to ensure team uniforms are maintained and cleaned before each contest.
  • Meet with each coach and maintain a written "to do" list to accomplish before and after each contest.
  • Maintain all athletic facility upkeep (fields, courts, scoreboards, AVL).

❏ Make sure all equipment/uniforms are returned

❏ Assist with equipment/uniform inventory and timeline for replenishment
