This full-time Counselor position offers an opportunity to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade in an educational setting, beginning July 1, 2025, for the 2025-2026 academic year. Working 37.5 hours per week under a contract extending through the school year, the role focuses on helping students overe challenges that affect their learning and guiding them in educational, occupational, and life planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling services to K-12 students to address academic, social, behavioral, and emotional issues.
- Assist students in developing educational and career goals.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and munity resources to promote student well-being.
- Deliver individual and group counseling sessions tailored to student needs.
- Support crisis intervention and mental health awareness initiatives within the school.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and services.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in School Counseling with a current valid educator license and appropriate endorsement.
- Additional certifications in Mental Health or Behavioral Counseling preferred.
- Alternatively, a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling or Social Work is acceptable, with preference for those holding a Masters in School Guidance Counseling.
- Licensed Professional Counselor or Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP) certification is highly desired.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills suited for working with students, staff, and families.
