A middle school social worker position is available in Dearborn, MI, for the uping school year on a contract basis. This role involves supporting general education students who face personal and psychological challenges impacting their academic performance, behavior, and social interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling sessions, develop treatment plans, and conduct workshops aimed at prevention and intervention.
- Assess students needs through direct munication to determine appropriate assistance.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to address behavioral and emotional issues by identifying underlying causes.
- Connect students and families experiencing abuse, violence, hunger, or homelessness with munity resources such as shelters, food banks, and medical care.
- Maintain accurate case files and reports to monitor student progress and challenges.
- Facilitate munication between students, parents, school staff, and external support services to coordinate care.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Social Work.
- Valid 310 Social Worker Endorsement.
