An opportunity is available for a qualified Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at an early childhood educational setting in Arvada, Colorado. This full-semester contract position focuses on delivering tailored instruction and support to young learners with hearing impairments, fostering their development and munication skills in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing early childhood students.
- Utilize specialized teaching strategies and assistive technologies to enhance language acquisition and auditory skills.
- Collaborate with parents, speech therapists, and other educational professionals to ensure prehensive support.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Certification in Deaf or Hard of Hearing education or equivalent credential.
- Experience working with early childhood learners who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Proficiency in using sign language and assistive listening devices.
