FLSA Status Salary Non-Exempt


JOB PURPOSE

To recruit students by traveling to events, churches, schools, and ministries with high concentrations of prospective residential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Recruit Residential Students

  • Meet residential student enrollment goals.
  • Work alongside the part-time Admissions Representative teams by intervening in key points of the residential student funnels.
  • Develop intentional and creative ways to build relationships with prospective residential students from the beginning to the end of the process.

Travel

  • Develop pipelines of residential students regionally and nationally.
  • Make connections with leaders at Christian schools, churches, and parachurch ministries with high concentrations of prospective residential students.
  • Plan visits to those pockets of prospective residential students.
  • Coordinate recruiting strategies with cohort leaders at Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College.
  • Schedule and coordinate large group campus visits with ministry groups, classes, etc. from those places with high concentrations of prospective residential students.
  • Recruit at standard Midwestern Seminary and Spurgeon College sponsored events approximately 2-3 times per month.
  • Attend and recruit at major conferences such as TGC and SBC.

Assist with General Admissions Tasks

  • Support the Admissions team during events such as Preview Day and conferences.
  • Help plan and execute key Admissions projects.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

Include, but not limited to:

  • Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
  • Preferred Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in theological education.
  • Part-time or full-time experience in higher education, customer service, sales, and/or an office setting.
  • Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
  • Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
  • Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must possess a positive attitude
  • Must be able to show a desire and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
  • Eligible to work in the United States

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • Travel as needed to conferences and events during a variety of days and times.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Moving boxes of recruiting materials, financial aid files, etc. (approx. 10 lbs.) and recruiting cases (approx. 40 lbs. on wheels)
  • Walking around campus for approx. 3 hours at a time
  • Constructing booth spaces at recruiting events
