Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
A full-time school psychologist position is available to support K-12 students in a South Carolina school district near Greenwood. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential psychological services during the current school year, beginning as soon as possible through the end of the academic calendar.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive evaluations for Special Education eligibility.
- Assess students using the Patterns of Strengths and Weaknesses (PSW) model, particularly for Specific Learning Disabilities.
- Evaluate students for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional Disturbance, Anxiety, Depression, and ADHD.
- Collaborate with educators and families to develop appropriate interventions and supports.
- Participate in eligibility determination meetings and maintain accurate documentation of assessments.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid South Carolina School Psychologist License is required.
- Experience or proficiency in conducting assessments following the PSW model is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of a range of childhood disorders and behavioral conditions affecting student learning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
- Excellent munication and organizational skills.
