The Treatment Coordinator (TC) maintains regular supportive contact with the client, Treatment Foster Parents, and biological/adoptive parents (when indicated). The TC coordinates the activities of the treatment team, and provides liaison and advocacy with community-based services and supports, as indicated by the assessment and treatment plan.
Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements
The treatment coordinator possesses one of the following:
- A master’s degree from an accredited program in social work or another human services field; OR
- A bachelor’s degree in social work or another related human-service field; AND two (2) years experience with this population
- A BA or BS degree in a non–human services field and three years’ experience working with children, youth, and families as a substitute for the graduate degree
