Schedule: JulyAugust | Specific dates and hours to be provided
Setting: Resource-Style Classroom
Grade Levels: 1st8th Grade
Certification Required: Massachusetts DESE Special Education (Moderate Disabilities, PreK8 or 512)
Job Description:
Seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a summer program serving students in grades 18 in a resource-style classroom setting. The teacher will provide small group academic instruction and targeted support aligned with students IEP goals, helping to maintain progress and prevent regression during the summer months.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in reading, math, and other core academic areas to students with IEPs

Implement IEP goals and accommodations in a resource-style setting

Create and maintain a supportive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers

Collect progress data and provide brief reports on student outcomes

Communicate effectively with families and program administrators
Qualifications:

Valid Massachusetts DESE Special Education license (Moderate Disabilities PreK8 or 512)

Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

Familiarity with IEP implementation and progress monitoring

Strong classroom management and communication skills

Summer teaching experience preferred but not required
