A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the uping school year at a K-12 school in Columbia, SC. This contract position will last for a full semester and offers multiple openings to support diverse caseloads.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction in self-contained, inclusion, or resource settings for K-12 students with special needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records and ply with all special education regulations and district policies
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina teaching credentials in Special Education
- Experience managing K-12 caseloads in a variety of instructional settings
- Proficiency in IEP development and pliance
- Strong work ethic, a growth mindset, and a positive, student-focused attitude
- Ability to perform all general duties associated with Special Education teaching roles
