A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the next school year at a K-12 school in Park City, Montana. This contract role involves working 37.5 hours per week, primarily with a middle school caseload. The position offers an excellent opportunity to support and educate students with diverse learning needs within a structured educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of middle school students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create inclusive learning experiences
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and federal special education regulations
- Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student growth and development
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferably with a focus on middle school age groups
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and students
- Ability to create meaningful lesson plans tailored to varied student needs and abilities
- Knowledge of special education laws, best practices, and assessment tools
