Qualifications:
- Valid teaching credential in Special Education
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those with emotional disturbances (ED)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred, though not required
- Strong munication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment tailored to students with special needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess student progress and adapt curriculum as needed
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring they meet the unique requirements of each student
- Engage students through innovative teaching strategies that promote active participation
- Maintain regular munication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and required training
