Qualifications:

  • Valid teaching credential in Special Education
  • Experience working with high school students, particularly those with emotional disturbances (ED)
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, though not required
  • Strong munication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a positive and structured classroom environment tailored to students with special needs
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess student progress and adapt curriculum as needed
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring they meet the unique requirements of each student
  • Engage students through innovative teaching strategies that promote active participation
  • Maintain regular munication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and required training
