This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher to serve K-12 students in a cross-categorical classroom setting within the Kansas City, MO area. The position follows the 2025-2026 school year calendar, running from August 19, 2025, through the end of the school year. This full-time contract role offers 37.5 hours per week with weekends and holidays off, providing a balanced schedule ideal for focused educational engagement and personal time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs across grades K-12
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to support student growth and facilitate a positive learning environment
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the unique challenges of cross-categorical classrooms
Qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching License valid in Missouri
- Proven ability to work in partnership with educators and school personnel
