QUALIFICATIONS
- BSW or related bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of experience providing case management to immigrants, victims of crime, or similar populations OR;
- MSW preferred, with at least 1 year of experience, providing case management to similar populations.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- A second language is preferred but not required (Spanish or Mandarin preferred).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in collaboration with local and federal law enforcement, prosecutors, probation/ parole officers, and other agencies.
- Successful experience working in the social work field, including client assessment, case planning, management, and referrals.
- Knowledge of culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate service provision strategies.
- Administrative skills in computers, record keeping, and organization.
- Knowledge of budgeting; grant writing; and grant reporting.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of crisis intervention, family dynamics, issues of domestic violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking is required.
- Ability to understand, build, and negotiate complex political and inter-organizational relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and communication skills.
- Ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of the position.
- Flexibility in schedule to workdays, nights, and weekends (as needed).
- Ability to pass a national background check and become “Protecting the Mission” certified.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Vocational and Anti-Trafficking Services Coordinator plans, directs, coordinates, and monitors day-to-day implementation and operations of victim services to victims of human trafficking
- Coordinates, oversees, and assumes responsibilities for all services to eligible trafficking victims referred to SEEDs of Hope.
- Oversee concentrated job development efforts to ensure employment opportunities for program clients;
- Identify and establish relationships with employers to secure 30 – 90-day employment opportunities and engage in drafts of MOUs and payment agreements that provide workforce development jobs for clients.
- Oversee on-site Employment Resource Fair for participating clients;
- Establish relationships with training providers that secure short-term skills certification training classes and engage in drafts of MOUs and payment agreements to be submitted to the Director and Business Manager for approval and signatures for payment.
- Demonstrate knowledge of adult learning styles and the ability to facilitate academic components of vocational education;
- Establish a referral system to CSN for all Work Keys referrals and submit agreement and request for payments to the Director and Business Manager for approval and signatures for payment.
- Oversee the coordination of Courts, Parole, and Probation clients in the vocational transitional housing;
- Manage program budget, funding, grants, and subcontracts, including grant writing and report writing.
- Identify fund development opportunities in concert with the Directors to improve services within the vocational program;
- Establish a schedule for room inspections to maintain safety by minimizing entry and use of contraband, especially weapons, in the vocational housing facility and campus;
- Establish a schedule for common area building inspections and report repairs needed, including HVAC and plumbing issues, to maintenance.
- Develop and oversee victim services protocols and required Evaluation Plan;
- Participate as a member of the Crisis Response Team to assist first responders in initial intake, placement, and assessment of newly identified victims. This position will be on-call as needed.
- Coordinate outreach, public awareness, and training activities as requested by the community.
- Participate in professional development training, which may require out-of-state travel periodically
- Maintain a flexible work schedule to respond to participants’ needs related to meeting times.
- Responsible for the supervision, training, and evaluation of the Vocational and Anti-Trafficking team
- Facilitate staff meetings for all subordinate employees: assist employees in resolving operational problems and respond to questions. Ensure all employees maintain awareness and compliance with program policies and procedures.
- Create and maintain employee work assignments and work schedules
- Implement and enforce all policies as established by The Salvation Army
- Develop and maintain files related to programs, properties, and general matters, according to TSA guidelines.
- All other related duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms continuously. Working conditions consist of a normal office environment as well as work throughout the Las Vegas valley. Frequent driving is required. Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods, and may involve climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain. Occasionally reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment, including personal computers. Must be able to hear both loud and soft noises. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop, or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. May be exposed to inclement weather.
