Position Overview:
Soliant isseeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' well-being and academic success in a vibrant, diverse educational setting in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be mitted to fostering a positive, supportive environment and providing social, emotional, and behavioral support to students in grades K-12.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and support students' needs.

  • Develop and implement interventions and strategies to promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.

  • Provide crisis intervention and support to students in times of emotional distress or emergencies.

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, needs, and goals.

  • Facilitate programs that promote mental health awareness, social-emotional learning, and well-being.

  • Offer consultation and guidance to staff on managing classroom dynamics and addressing students' emotional needs.

  • Participate in school-wide initiatives aimed at improving school culture and climate.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided and student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

  • Illinois State Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Social Work.

  • Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, including knowledge of developmental and emotional challenges.

  • Strong munication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.

  • passionate, empathetic, and patient with a strong mitment to student success.

  • Knowledge of school-based mental health interventions, crisis management, and restorative practices.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred, but not required) are a plus.
