Position Overview:
Soliant isseeking a passionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for the 2025-2026 academic year. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' well-being and academic success in a vibrant, diverse educational setting in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be mitted to fostering a positive, supportive environment and providing social, emotional, and behavioral support to students in grades K-12.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.

Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and parents to identify and support students' needs.

Develop and implement interventions and strategies to promote positive behavior, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution.

Provide crisis intervention and support to students in times of emotional distress or emergencies.

Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' strengths, needs, and goals.

Facilitate programs that promote mental health awareness, social-emotional learning, and well-being.

Offer consultation and guidance to staff on managing classroom dynamics and addressing students' emotional needs.

Participate in school-wide initiatives aimed at improving school culture and climate.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of services provided and student progress.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

Illinois State Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Social Work.

Proven experience working with students in an educational setting, including knowledge of developmental and emotional challenges.

Strong munication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.

Knowledge of school-based mental health interventions, crisis management, and restorative practices.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.

Bilingual skills (Spanish preferred, but not required) are a plus.
