Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A K-12 school in Amelia Court House, VA, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an Extended School Year (ESY) contract position. This role involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs within the special education program.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with state standards.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student progress.
• Monitor and document student performance and behavior.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning styles.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 students with disabilities.
