An educational role is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students in both middle and high school environments. This position offers full-time, full school year contracts and is located in Marion, SC. The setting involves working on-site within a public school, focusing on special education needs.
The role includes assignments at two levels:
- High School: Self-contained, multi-categorical classroom serving up to 15 students.
- Middle School: Resource support for up to 33 students.
Qualified candidates must hold multi-categorical or Learning Disabilities (LD) teaching certification to meet the diverse needs of these students. The position requires adapting instructional methods to accommodate varying abilities and ensuring compliance with individualized education programs (IEPs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students unique learning requirements.
- Manage classroom environments in self-contained and resource settings.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student academic and social progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student performance and IEP goals.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student development.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid multi-categorical or LD teaching certification.
- Experience working with special education students in both self-contained and resource models.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
