CORA Services is a non-profit agency whose mission is to assist youth, children, and families experiencing emotional, academic, and social challenges which impede their development and productivity. CORA provides this assistance throughout the greater Philadelphia area.

CORA is currently seeking Teachers to work in non-public schools throughout the city of Philadelphia, providing Act 89 or Title I funded support services.

Working as a Teacher with CORA, you will:

  • Provide remedial, diagnostic, or consultative services to students, parents, and school personnel.
  • Instruct pupils in small groups for the purposes of academic support, to assist them in achieving grade level classroom performance especially in the areas of reading and math
  • Adhere to agency guidelines and requirements concerning caseload management and accountability.
  • Participate in all necessary inter-disciplinary functions, including regular meetings and consultation with other members of the CORA school services team.
  • Establish appropriate groups and schedule instructional time efficiently.
  • Monitor educational growth with established objectives as identified on student’s Learning Plan.
  • Complete all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Make appropriate referrals for children needing additional services.
  • Generate written progress reports as required.

Qualified Candidates Should Possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a certifiable teaching program.
  • Pennsylvania teachers certificate in Elementary Education, Reading Specialist, Math or Special Education.
  • Solid working knowledge of the field.
  • Wilson Certified a plus.

Salary: BA level--$46,757 MA level--$49,679

Salary commensurate with credentials and experience
