An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to provide tailored instructional support at an elementary school in Mesquite, TX. This role is a contract position for the 2023-2024 school year, focusing on delivering specialized education to meet the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
- Adapt and modify curriculum to acmodate various learning styles and abilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to enhance student learning outes
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth
Qualifications:
- Texas Special Education certification EC-12 required
- Experience working with elementary-aged students in special education settings
- Strong munication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create engaging, differentiated instructional activities
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations
