Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional math tutoring using the Mathnasium Method
- Welcome students to the center and help students build confidence and get them excited about math!
- Create a fun and engaging learning environment and oversee math games, contests, and create additional opportunities to reward students for participation, effort, advancement, and perseverance.
- Oversee the tutoring floor during Instructional hours to ensure all students get proper attention
- Serve as the point person to communicate with directors about all needs related to the center operations.
- Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
- Assist in curriculum preparation and student assessments
Qualifications:
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I (All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency)
- A passion for math and working with children
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
- Willingness to learn and be trained
- Desire to develop leadership abilities
- Open availability 2-8 Monday through Thursday
- Prior experience as a math tutor is a plus, but not a requirement
