POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Fosters a positive and safe learning environment.
- Establishes positive and trusting relationships with students and families.
- Implements restorative practices and effective classroom management strategies.
- Works collaboratively with team, instructional coaches and administration to employ best practices.
- Plan and deliver educational instruction using the most efficient and effective methodology for the students assigned in both whole group and small group settings.
- Conduct and facilitate standard based assignments, projects and assessments that are research based and appropriate for the students assigned.
- Utilizes data to drive whole group and small group targeted instruction.
- Provide corrective feedback to students, and re-teach as necessary, to ensure that the students have mastered the objectives.
- Conduct research and read professional literature in the subject area of the assignment.
- Collaborate and clearly communicate with parents/guardians, and other educators to assist the students.
- Implement the approved-course curriculum effectively.
- Implement modifications in a student’s education plan as required.
- Consult with other school staff as necessary to complete the functions of the position.
- Complete written reports, and assigned administrative tasks related to these functions.
- Demonstrates strong classroom managements skills.
- Utilize preventive discipline methodology with assigned students.
- Model positive character virtues and habits.
- Assist students in developing positive moral and performance character attributes.
- Partner and communicate proactively with parents.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Principal/School Leader.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree in Education or related filed
Arizona Level 1 IVP Card
Licenses & Certifications: Preferred, but not a requirement - State Teaching Certification
Experience: 1-2 years successful teaching experience.
Knowledge, Ability & Skills: Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills; ability to perform independently.
Ability to remain pleasant and helpful under sometimes-stressful circumstances.
