An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support elementary students during the 2025/26 school year. This full-time, contract position is based in Lafayette, IN, and focuses on delivering tailored educational experiences to meet the unique needs of students in inclusive and resource settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Utilize specialized instructional strategies to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in accordance with school policies.
- Foster a supportive and positive classroom environment that meets state and federal guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in special education settings.
- Strong knowledge of individualized instruction techniques and behavior management.
