Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
A full-time school psychologist position is available for the 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school located near Newark, New Jersey. This contract role offers the opportunity to support a diverse student population by addressing their psychological and educational needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive psychological assessments for students to identify learning, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Provide direct counseling and intervention services to students as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expert remendations.
- Monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
- Ensure pliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.
Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist.
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Exceptional munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Familiarity with relevant state laws and educational policies.
