Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Paraprofessionals for a full-time position with school districts in the Blackstone, Virginia area for the upcoming school year. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in a school-based environment and contribute to their academic and behavioral success.

Typical Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students under the guidance of certified teachers

• Assist students with daily classroom activities and assignments

• Work 1:1 or with small groups of students, depending on needs

• Support students with special needs, including physical, emotional, and learning challenges

• Help maintain a positive and organized classroom environment

• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to monitor and encourage student progress

Minimum Requirements (Virginia):

• High school diploma or GED required

• Completion of the Paraprofessional Assessment (ParaPro) test or a minimum of two years (60 credit hours) of college coursework

• Ability to pass a Virginia state and FBI background check

• Previous experience in a school or childcare setting preferred

• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student development
