POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Residential Services Manager, the QIDP/Administrator oversees resident services in assigned facilities to ensure quality care and compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Resident Services Duties:
- Oversees the overall health and well-being of residents in assigned facilities.
- Develops Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) in accordance with state and federal guidelines, utilizing the Therap System.
- Collaborates with professional consultants to design effective resident programs.
- Reviews consultant reports and ensures follow-through on recommended actions.
- Ensures Direct Support Professionals adhere to established program schedules and implement resident plans accurately.
- Confirms that residents receive consistent active treatment and habilitation services.
- Monitors program implementation and ensures timely, accurate documentation as required.
- Analyzes program data to assess resident progress toward IPP goals and objectives.
- Prepares and submits required reports (e.g., 30-day updates, monthly summaries, semi-annual and annual reviews).
- Delivers direct services to residents, including counseling, crisis intervention, skill assessments, and general care as needed.
- Participates in the intake, discharge, and screening processes to support optimal facility census.
- Leads IPP meetings for all assigned residents.
- Coordinates with external agencies such as Regional Centers and Day Programs to support resident care.
- Works in partnership with the RN to ensure residents' health care needs are addressed.
- Ensures residents have access to and appropriate use of adaptive and specialized equipment.
- Maintains regular communication with residents’ families and conservators, providing timely updates and information.
Personnel Management Duties:
- Holds direct supervisory responsibility for Direct Support Professionals, Senior Direct Support Professionals, Residential Coordinators, and other staff within assigned facilities.
- Ensures adequate staffing levels in assigned facilities in compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Oversees the performance of Residential Coordinators to confirm that new Direct Support Professionals are properly trained prior to delivering resident care.
- Investigates staff incident and injury reports, ensuring adherence to company safety protocols and procedures.
- Enforces company policies and procedures, providing coaching, counseling, or disciplinary action as needed.
- Leads monthly staff meetings and delivers training sessions to support staff development.
- Reviews and/or edits timecards for hourly employees to ensure accurate reporting of hours worked.
- May participate in employee interviews and termination meetings, and provide recommendations on hiring and separation decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening.
- Must successfully complete a health screening and TB test.
- Must be able to obtain criminal background clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ).
Education and Experience:
- Baccalaureate degree in a Human Services related field.
- 1 year experience working with persons with developmental/intellectual disabilities.
- Previous management and/or supervisory experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to use Therap software.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and assist in resident transfers.
- Certifications (required or attainable within 90 days of hire)
- CPR certification (maintained throughout employment)
- Medication Administration Certification
Additional Notes:
The QIDP/Administrator is part of an on-call weekend rotation and is expected to fulfill a 24/5 commitment, with core on-site hours typically between 6:00 AM Monday and 6:00 PM Friday. Although the standard workday is eight hours, the role requires after-hours availability for calls and occasional return to the facility when necessary.
The QIDP/Administrator follows a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays to ensure adequate coverage and meet the operational needs of the facility.
