This position is for an elementary school teaching role focused on supporting five students with moderate to severe needs. The contract runs from August 14, 2025, through May 20, 2026, offering a full academic year experience in a structured school setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles
- Collaborate with educational staff and specialists to create supportive learning environments
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed to enhance growth
- Maintain clear communication with families and caregivers regarding student development and goals
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary students, especially with moderate to severe disabilities
- Strong understanding of special education principles and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet specific student needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
