Summary
Looking for a job that includes laughter, singing, and hugs? Don't worry if you are new to teaching, we offer two weeks of training to all new members of our team, no matter what your experience is. We have multiple open positions for Assistant Infant/Toddler Teachers.
Duties
All teachers work with a partner teacher to care for and teach a group of children, working as a team. Together both teachers implement lesson plans based on Goddard's proprietary inquiry based curriculum - 'Wonder of Learning' and manage the students as they learn, eat, sleep, and play. Teachers are responsible for keeping their classroom organized and clean, and communicating with parents.
Requirements
Personality -- Positive, patient, flexible, hard-working, energetic, loves spending time with young children (3 months- 2 years)
Education – all candidates must have at least *one* of the following:
- High School Degree, or equivalent; international credentials welcome
- Child Development Associate (CDA) (or at least 12 college credits in ECE), or current enrollment in a CDA program
- Associate's Degree
All candidates must also have the following:
- A local address within reasonable commuting distance; international candidates should not apply
- Experience working with young children; school-setting experience is preferred
- Fluency in English, to permit effective communication with staff and parents
- Comfort using tablet technology (iPads etc.)
Hours: This position is full-time and year round; new teachers start with a schedule of 9:00am - 6:00pm but may get earlier hours over time.
