Career Management Coordinator
Position Overview
The Career Management Coordinator serves as a pivotal connection between students, alumni, faculty, and employers. This role is dedicated to enhancing student success through comprehensive support services, academic assistance, and career development. The coordinator also plays a key role in ensuring compliance with institutional and accreditation standards. Responsibilities include career placement, academic monitoring, survey administration, and community engagement.
Required in office working hours are Monday-Friday 8am-4pm in Morgantown, WV
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelors degree from a program accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. PREFERRED: Masters degree.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience in education or working with diverse groups, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain a detail-oriented approach. PREFERRED: Experience in educational settings and familiarity with student support and compliance processes.

Key Responsibilities
Career Development & Placement Support
- Assist students and alumni with career planning, job search strategies, and professional growth.
- Achieve institutional and programmatic placement rate goals for both online and on-campus programs.
- Support current students with part-time employment while in school.
- Promote networking through social media and the institutions website.
- Assist alumni with career growth & development.
Academic & Student Support
- Instruct courses every six weeks based on qualifications, including Career Preparation (professional documents, interviewing, job seeking, and professionalism).
- Track and monitor academic performance in collaboration with faculty and program directors.
- Assist with grade audits, class participation tracking, and outreach to at-risk students.
- Help students navigate academic challenges by connecting them to institutional resources (tutoring, advising, etc.).
- Participate in academic meetings to support student retention and success.
- Engage with students regularly to assess needs and provide additional support.
- Collaborate with program leadership and faculty to foster a supportive academic and career environment.
Compliance & Accreditation Support
- Collaborate with institutional departments to support internal audits and maintain accreditation documentation.
- Collect and store externship documents, employer verification forms, and graduate placement files.
- Monitor and meet deadlines for reports, surveys, and compliance-related tasks.
- Assist with data validation and recordkeeping for accreditation site visits and regulatory reporting.
- Conduct internal audits aligned with accreditation standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Assist in preparation of reports for regulatory bodies, accrediting agencies, and internal stakeholders.
Social Media & Communication
- Manage institutional Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook accounts.
- Highlight events, achievements, student/alumni success, #Hired, and employment updates.
- Ensure consistent, timely content creation, posting, and engagement across all platforms.
Employer & Community Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and community organizations.
- Support student employment and future programmatic growth.
- Maintain resources for student housing and develop in-field placement opportunities.
Event Planning & Coordination
- Organize and implement graduation ceremonies, career fairs, and other student-focused events.
Survey Management & Reporting
- Conduct surveys targeting students, externs, graduates, and employers to gather feedback for program improvement.
- Manage survey data, ensure accessibility for programmatic improvement, and report notable findings for strategic planning.
Programmatic & Faculty Support
- Provide support in curriculum, accreditation standards, and documentation needs.
- Support faculty development through compliance oversight and programmatic assistance.
Administrative Tasks
- Upload placement documentation, update faculty records, and contribute to blog content as assigned.
Ethics and Compliance
- Keep apprised of and abide by all Federal and State regulations and accrediting criteria as pertains to the duties and responsibilities of this position
