Job DescriptionAssociation’s Mission:

California Primary Care Association's (CPCA's) mission is to lead and position community clinics, health centers and networks through advocacy, education, and services as key players in the health care delivery system to improve the health status of their communities.

Purpose of Position:

The Senior Training Coordinator is responsible for providing a high level of project and logistics management for the organization and for coordinating and supporting the organization’s in-person and online training and education programs. Working closely with Director of Programs and Education, the Senior Training Coordinator’s duties include managing all aspects of the training and education webinar program, supporting content development for events and trainings, and supporting CPCA’s continuing education program.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of the training and education webinar program including scheduling, planning, hosting, editing, and producing webinars, video, webcasts, and on demand content within the Association’s learning management system.
  • Manage the Association’s cohort-based learning programs including scheduling, speaker preparation, and hosting in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Manage session budgets and contracts, facilitate payments when/where required.
  • Identify and distribute best practices among all training and event facilitators and speakers.
  • Support speaker preparation for events and trainings including scheduling, the preparation of speaker prep documents, and logistics management for presenters.
  • Support CVENT call for presenters process (CFP) and manage speaker portal in preparation for CPCA conferences and events.
  • Per accreditation requirements, send, analyze, and distribute training data including training tracking report, participation data, and evaluation surveys.
  • Update and maintain Industry Events calendar in Outlook, including researching partner events.
  • Support CPCA’s continuing education program including, but not limited to, managing the content/session credit review process, tracking attendance for CME credits, providing certificates, supporting email and phone inquiries, and maintaining records as needed.


Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Provide project coordination that enhances project or program management functions.
  • Effective writing and proofing of documents and correspondence.
  • Effective recording and synthesis of survey and evaluation data.
  • Support lead staff assigned to designated training and events
  • Produce reports, memos, correspondence, and materials.
  • Maintain calendars and schedules for multiple training and event programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based applications and platforms.
  • Demonstrates effective time management, organization and problem-solving ability.
  • Work collaboratively with multi departmental teams and external stakeholders.
  • Effective interpersonal and professional skills when engaging with Association membership and Board of Directors, vendors, speakers, and partners.
  • Treat sensitive matters with confidentiality.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Attends and participates in required Association meetings.
  • Reports regularly to supervisor.
  • Participates in CPCA trainings and events and represents the Association as requested to include state and national events.
  • Travel for national and regional meetings, training and site visits by air and ground transportation.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and three years of training or event coordination experience required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
  • Experience with community health centers, member-driven associations or non-profit organizations is preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Noise level is generally moderate, but at times can be noisy

  • Employee must have available transportation and be able to commute into office


Compensation: $78,881-$83,521

Association Expectation:

Due to network security and hybrid work this position requires the employee to have a cell phone with a data plan and home internet service, both are reimbursed at a set rate each month. All hires are required to maintain residence in California. This is a hybrid position with employees coming into the office in downtown Sacramento.
