Special Education Teacher High School
Location: Miller, SD
Start Date: August 2025 (25/26 School Year)
Schedule: Full-Time, MondayFriday
Position Overview:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher for a high school caseload beginning with the 20252026 school year. This role focuses on supporting a diverse group of approximately 12 students whose needs range from Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Most students attend general education classes for the majority of the day, with support services provided as needed.
Responsibilities:

Provide specially designed instruction and academic support.

Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver inclusion support.

Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals.

Maintain communication with families and team members.

Participate in IEP meetings and eligibility evaluations as needed.
Qualifications:

Active South Dakota Special Education Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain).

Experience supporting students in inclusive general education settings preferred.

Ability to adapt instruction and classroom supports to meet a wide range of student needs.
