About the Role:

The Curriculum & Research Director at NUC University will play a pivotal role in implementing the educational framework and research initiatives of the institution. This position works under the direct supervision of the Associate VP of Curricular Innovation and is responsible for overseeing all curriculum-related activities within the Vice Presidency of Academic Development at all academic divisions of the institution in Puerto Rico and United States. The director will lead a team of curriculum specialists and subject matter experts to foster the development and revision of academic programs, as well as the creation, review, and continous improvement of syllabi and other curricular documentation across the institution that align with industry standards and academic excellence. By collaborating with instructional designers, faculty, administration, and external stakeholders, the director will ensure that the curriculum meets the diverse needs of students and prepares them for successful careers. Ultimately, this role aims to enhance the university's reputation as a leader in education, driving student engagement and success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Curriculum Development, Education or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in curriculum development and academic leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting and managing curriculum projects in higher education.
  • Ability to plan and develop strategies to achieve organizational goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate in Education or a related field.
  • Experience in higher education administration and policy development.
  • Familiarity with accreditation processes and standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight the development of curriculum documents across various programs to ensure alignment with institutional standards, accreditacion requirements, and industry needs.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by guiding and supporting curriculum teams, faculty members, and academic leaders to enhance the quality and innovation of educational programs.
  • Implement rigorous review processes to minimize errors in curricular documentation, ensuring precision, consistency, and alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Promote continuous learning opportunities by organizing training sessions and professional develoment for curriculum team members to enhace their expertise and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with the Associate VP of Curriculum Innovation to integrate innovative educational strategies and ensure curricular coherence across academic divisions.
  • Ensure all curricular materials meet local and national accreditation requirements whi providing academic divisions with the necessary guidance and support to maintain high educational standards.
