Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years special education experience required.

An opportunity is available for a qualified professional to support students in a dynamic elementary school environment. This role focuses on fostering an inclusive and engaging learning atmosphere for children with diverse educational needs, specifically within a self-contained classroom for Kindergarten through 2nd grade.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with each student's unique requirements.
  • Create a structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and encourages student participation.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to enhance students' learning experiences and outcomes.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies to meet evolving needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation as required by state regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching license from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a self-contained classroom setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
