Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.

Seeking a dedicated professional to provide vital psychological services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position is based in Detroit, MI, for the upcoming school year, where the focus will be on supporting students' mental health and educational needs through assessment, intervention, and consultation.

Qualifications:

  • Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
  • Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
  • Experience working in K-12 educational environments
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment

Location:

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychoeducational assessments and provide diagnoses for students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Provide consultation services regarding behavioral and academic interventions.
  • Offer individual and group counseling to support students' emotional and psychological well-being.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
  • Stay current with best practices in school psychology and relevant educational policies.
