Job Description:
The ESL Teacher will work directly with English Language Learners (ELLs), providing differentiated instruction to help students develop English language proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This role includes creating lesson plans aligned with WIDA standards, collaborating with general education staff, assessing student progress, and ensuring compliance with state and federal ELL regulations. The ESL Teacher will foster an inclusive environment that values cultural diversity and empowers multilingual learners to succeed academically and socially.
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Education, ESL, TESOL, or related field

Valid Louisiana teaching credential with ESL or ESOL endorsement

Prior experience working with ELL or multilingual student populations

Familiarity with WIDA ACCESS assessments and language acquisition strategies

Ability to pass a state and federal background check as required by the district
