ProCare Therapy is working with a district in your area who is in need for a compassionate and dedicated School Counselor to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide guidance, counseling, and interventions to promote student success. You will also be responsible for helping students through academic, social, and emotional difficulties. Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behavior, mental health awareness, and social/emotional success
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling to support students academic, social, and emotional development
- Support students with academic planning, through course selection and career readiness strategies
- Respond to crisis situations and provide support to students in need
Job Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in School Counseling, or a related field
- Current state licensure/certification as a School Counselor
- Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting preferred
- Ability to build strong and positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Must pass background checks and meet state/local certification requirements
