Position Summary
The Workforce Development Instructors are dynamic consultants focused on adult education across diverse populations, including older adults, neurodivergent, and individuals with behavioral health issues.
Responsibilities include delivering in-person training on any of a wide range of topics such as job readiness and technology skills, while fostering an inclusive and respectful classroom environment. Instructors must be adept at engaging learners of all backgrounds and abilities, adapting to various learning styles, and promoting participant dignity and value regardless of circumstances. Key duties also include curriculum and presentation development, documentation compliance, and classroom management.

Responsibilities
- Facilitate In-Person Training Sessions
- Deliver engaging, interactive workshops on topics ranging from job readiness (e.g., resumes, interviews) to technology (e.g., computer basics, digital tools).
- Adapt instruction for diverse adult learners, including older adults and those with varying levels of experience and education.
- Curriculum Development
- Design and update instructional materials such as lesson plans, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations aligned with program goals and participant needs.
- Incorporate adult learning principles and a variety of instructional methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Classroom Environment Management
- Create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive classroom space that encourages participation and growth.
- Manage classroom dynamics with sensitivity and professionalism, ensuring a safe learning environment.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate attendance records, progress notes, and required program documentation in a timely manner.
- Provide feedback and assessments of participant performance when required.
- Participant Engagement & Support
- Establish rapport with learners to understand their goals and barriers.
- Provide encouragement and individualized support to help participants stay motivated and reach their objectives.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with program staff, case managers, and partner organizations to support holistic participant development.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and program improvement efforts as needed.

Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years Experienced in the relevant training areas
- At least 1yr experience training
- Proven ability to lead engaging sessions in recreational, educational, or tech-based environments
- Strong interpersonal and cultural competency across diverse age groups
- Skilled in simplifying complex concepts into accessible, interactive content
- Adaptable to different learning styles
- Able to provide verifiable experience (resume, references, or portfolio)
- Open to short-term roles with potential for extension based on performance
