Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school in Irving, TX is seeking a licensed Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year to support 3rd grade students in a self-contained classroom. This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive instruction across all four core subjects for students receiving special education services.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Texas Special Education Teacher license
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably 3rd grade
  • Ability to deliver instruction in all core subjects within a self-contained setting
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education strategies

Position Details:

  • Start Date: August 13, 2025
  • End Date: June 3, 2026
  • Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Student caseload: 3rd grade scholars served as the Special Education Teacher
  • Location: Elementary school setting in Irving, TX

Responsibilities include planning and delivering lessons tailored to individual student needs, managing classroom behavior, collaborating with general education staff, and maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with special education guidelines.
