Summary

Woodmont Baptist Weekday Preschool ("WBWP") seeks an energetic, nurturing, and positive person to be a classroom assistant teacher in our toddler room for the 2025-2026 academic school year. WBWP serves children from four months through 5 years of age and partners with families to provide developmentally appropriate preschool education in a respectful, creative, nurturing Christian environment. Our teachers and assistant teachers are responsible for fostering a warm and accepting atmosphere whilevaluing and promoting play.

Duties

• Carry out activities on a daily basis, evaluate the effectiveness of child development activities.
• Ensure the safety and physical well-being of the children.
• Maintain frequent communication with parents through informal discussions and parent-teacher conferences
• Contribute to the effective operation of the overall childcare center program.
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment, including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement
• Maintain confidentiality of information relating to children, families, and staff.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement of Associate Degree
• Must clear full background check and must pass annual health screening
• Prefer at least 2 years of early childhood experience.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children and parents) and to foster a team environment
• Willing to fulfill responsibilities according to WBWP's philosophy and curriculum guidelines.
• Flexible, able to adapt to diverse situations that may arise.
• Infant Child CPR and First Aid Certification (can obtain after employment)
• A strong understanding or child development
