Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
- Deliver specialized instruction in core academic areas, fostering skills that enhance student growth.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Maintain accurate and prehensive records in pliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings to continuously improve instructional practices.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and behavior intervention strategies.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and create engaging, accessible lessons.
- Effective munication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educational teams.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed academically and socially.
