Blazer Jobs is partnering with a dedicated school district in Seattle, WA, to hire a certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist for the 20252026 school year. This full-time, in-person role is ideal for professionals passionate about empowering students with visual impairments to navigate their environments safely and independently.
Location: Seattle, WA
School Year: 20252026
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in orientation and mobility techniques to students with visual impairments

Conduct assessments to determine students O&M needs and develop individualized goals

Collaborate with educational teams, families, and related service providers to support student success

Document student progress and maintain accurate service records

Travel between school sites as needed
Qualifications:
-
Bachelors or Masters degree in Orientation and Mobility or related field
-
Active certification as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS or equivalent)

Valid Washington state licensure or ability to obtain
-
Experience working in educational settings is preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
