An elementary school located in Wake Forest, NC is seeking two Special Education Teachers for self-contained K-3 classrooms. These contract positions span the full school year and offer an opportunity to make a significant impact by providing tailored educational support to young students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction within self-contained classrooms for K-3 students in special education.
• Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) for a caseload of approximately six students.
• Collaborate closely with a supporting paraprofessional to ensure effective classroom management and student engagement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain munication with parents, caregivers, and school staff regarding student development and goals.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in self-contained classroom settings.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education laws and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with paraprofessionals and other educational staff.
• Patience, creativity, and excellent munication skills to foster a positive learning environment.
