ASSISTANT TEACHER - Mapleton Iowa Head Start

West Central Community Action Mapleton Head Start Preschool seeks an Assistant Teacher.

Assistant Teachers are responsible for interacting with children, providing a variety of developmentally appropriate materials and activities for children and participate actively in the teaching team through communication, collaboration and curriculum planning.

Assistant Teachers must have the ability to work with children and families from various cultural, economic & social backgrounds.

Current valid driver's license, dependable transportation and current and ability to maintain auto liability insurance are required.

This is a 40-hour per week, 38-week per year position. Assistant Teachers are required to have completed High School or (GED).

Candidates with previous experience in Early Childhood Education will be considered.

The starting pay for this position is $15.39 per hour.

This classroom will be located in the MVAO Community School.
