A Lead Two-Year-Old Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for two-year-olds, focusing on their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. This role involves planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, observing and assessing children's progress, and collaborating with parents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development and Implementation:
  • Planning, organizing, and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum and lesson plans that cater to the unique needs of two-year-olds.

  • Classroom Management:
  • Creating and maintaining a safe, clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.

  • Observation and Assessment:
  • Observing and assessing children's development, progress, and learning styles, and using this information to guide instruction and adjust activities.

  • Positive Relationships:
  • Fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to build a supportive learning community.

  • Communication:
  • Communicating regularly with parents about their child's progress, development, and any concerns or needs.

  • Childcare:
  • Providing basic care needs such as diaper changing, feeding, and clothing.

  • Positive Guidance:
  • Utilizing positive guidance strategies to promote social and emotional development and address challenging behaviors.

  • Professional Development:
  • Participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

  • Teamwork:
  • Collaborating with other teachers and staff to implement the program's curriculum and goals.

  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment that complies with all relevant regulations and policies.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working with two-year-olds or toddlers is required.
  • Strong understanding of child development
  • Patient, kind, and nurturing
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • First aid/CPR certified
