This full-time Special Education Teacher position is available southeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma, serving high school students in a resource environment. The role requires delivering specialized instruction in both general and math-specific special education areas. The position is a contract for the 2023-2024 school year and is based onsite.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification in Mild to Moderate Special Education
- High school Math certification covering Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry
- Experience teaching high school special education students, preferably in a resource room setting
- Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
- Ability to design acmodations and modifications for diverse learning needs
Location:
- Southeast of Tulsa, Oklahoma
- Onsite, high school setting
Responsibilities:
- Teach four classes focused on Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry within a high school resource program
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt lessons to meet students learning goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessments in pliance with district standards
- Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment tailored to students with mild to moderate disabilities
