Summary

We are currently seeking aFull-Time Experienced Overnight Daycare Teacherto support and care for children during evening and overnight hours. The ideal candidate will bring professional expertise, compassion, and a commitment to early childhood education in a structured overnight setting.

Duties

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children during overnight hours.
• Create and maintain a calm, nurturing sleep environment.
• Implement a structured nighttime routine, including evening activities, bedtime preparation, and morning transitions.
• Monitor and respond to children’s needs throughout the night with patience and care.
• Maintain accurate records of sleep patterns, meals, and incidents.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding overnight care and routines.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency between day and overnight programming.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field(required).
• Minimum of2 yearsexperience working in a licensed daycare or preschool setting.
• In-depth knowledge of child development and early learning best practices.
• Strong understanding of foundational skills such as early literacy and numeracy.
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Must pass all required background checks as mandated by Connecticut state regulations.
• Ability to remain alert, engaged, and responsive during overnight shifts.
• Compassionate, dependable, and flexible with a genuine passion for working with children.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working overnight or in a 24-hour childcare setting.
• Familiarity with Care4Kids and OEC compliance standards.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
