A K-12 school in Pasadena, TX is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a contract position covering the school year. This role offers an opportunity to provide essential psychological services to support student learning, development, and well-being within an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students K-12 to identify learning and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) based on evaluation results
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to support student mental health and school adjustment
- Assist with behavioral assessments and recommend strategies to improve student outcomes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure appropriate interventions and accommodations
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports in compliance with school policies and relevant laws
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid school psychologist certification or license as required by the state of Texas
- Experience working with K-12 populations in school settings
- Strong knowledge of educational law, assessment protocols, and intervention strategies
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and school personnel
- Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain student confidentiality
