Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years school psychologist experience required.
A long-term substitute position is available for an elementary school psychologist serving grades K5. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support students social-emotional and academic development in an in-person setting throughout the school year, starting at the beginning of school and concluding on March 1.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychoeducational assessments and interpret results to guide instructional strategies
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop and implement intervention plans
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in school psychology
- Valid Connecticut state license in school psychology
- Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and collaborative skills
- Ability to work full time on-site
