An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students as a Resource Teacher for the 2025/26 school year. This full-time, contract position focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs, enhancing their academic progress and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for high school students in a resource setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to modify curriculum and support student learning.
- Monitor student progress and maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and independence.
- Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience working with high school students in a resource room or similar setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
