Preschool Teacher Pay scale: $14.17/hour to $17.50/hour with attendance bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, or colors, do crafts, etc.)
  • Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are always safe.
  • Track childrens progress and report to parents
  • Communicate with parents regularly to understand the childrens background and psyche.
  • Provide daily care for young children (including toileting and diaper changing).
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.

Child Care Teacher Age Groups & Hours:


Oakleaf:


  • Full-Time Lead Mostly 3-Year-Old Teacher: 8:00am - 5:00pm
  • Full-Time Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher: 6:30am - 2:30pm or 8:00am - 5:00pm


San Pablo:


  • Full-Time Assistant Infant Teachers: 8:00am - 5:00pm and 10:30am - 6:30pm
  • Part-Time 3 Year Old and Up Closing Teacher: 2:30pm - 6:30pm
  • Full-Time Summer Camp Teacher (Seasonal/Temporary Position Only): shift varies


Qualifications:

  • 45 hours of DCF training required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • CDA or Teaching Credential preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a daycare setting
  • A passion for early childhood education and helping children grow in positive ways
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Excellent communication skills
