Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years deaf & hard of hearing experience required.
This full-time, contract opportunity is designed for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing serving Pre-K through 12th grade students across an itinerant caseload of 20-30 learners within multiple schools and programs. Starting August 18, 2025, through June 12, 2026, this role is ideal for professionals passionate about providing prehensive, individualized academic and municative instruction to support the diverse needs of deaf and hard of hearing students.
Responsibilities include delivering 1:1 cross-curricular instruction tailored to each student's academic content, as well as social, recreational, and munication programming. You will be an integral member of a district-wide Deaf and Hard of Hearing Team, collaborating to enhance student outes and access to education.
Key qualifications and experience:
- DE Licensure required
- Previous school-based experience working with deaf/hard of hearing students preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to deliver itinerant services across up to 27 schools and programs
- Strong mitment to individualized student support and interdisciplinary collaboration
Location: Services will be provided itinerantly within a broad district area enpassing multiple schools and programs.
